Event Horizon in D Minor

I got a little into it with a creative prompt I made for my own Music League with friends and fellow improvisors. For context, my music league is described as thus:

League Name: 🌌☄️Chrono-Rifft: A Collapse in Time & Beat📟🪩

Description:

“You were never meant to hear these songs… But here they are!

Time has fractured! Something terrible has happened in the year 2025, and the timeline has COLLAPSED! All that remains is a syk nasty beat that echoes across dimensions, looped memories, forgotten futures, and crumbling realities. This is not just a music league—it’s a journey through emotional resonance, speculative timelines, and soundtracks from worlds that never were!

Each round is a ripple in the stream: part dream, part transmission, part vibe. Expect prompts that are weird, mythic, nostalgic, cinematic, or absurd. Think of this league as a mixtape assembled by travelers caught in a collapsing multiverse.”

Round Title: Event Horizon in D Minor

Prompt: Before you is a sight that cannot be described in words, only in sound. Submit an instrumental piece of music to accompany this monumental occasion. One phase shift for being, one mind melt for all consciousness.

Answer (Play in background and contemplate):

Flash.

You fall. You spin. You turn. You tumble. Flash. You scream. It screams. Everything is screaming. Flash. It’s the sound of the fabric of reality being rent apart.

Flash.

As things continue to fall apart, whole universes of possibilities are lost. Lives never had. Cultures never to be witnessed or known. World’s here one eternity and gone the next. Flash. Flash. Flash. Entire universes are torn and wrent and ripped and eaten. Devoured. Gone.

Flash.

Colors.

Flash.

Hyperspectrafauna scrape and slide and slip across your eyes and face and skin. Flash. They dance and slither and chase and scamper, your flesh the ground of their Yggdrasil. Flash. They notice not while you scream. Flash. While what screams? Flash. What are you in this place, O’ Calamitous Voyeur of the Dying Divine?

Flash.

Do rainbows have teeth? Are they shining down on us, or luring us in to eat? Many an angler can lure one with promises of gold and other bright things. Do they prowl the skies, looking for meat? It is not a blessing to behold, for they are piercing the flesh of the sky with their heat.

I dare not ask.
Do rainbows have teeth?

Flash.
